Terms & Conditions
Please read these terms before enrolling. They explain how lessons, payments and cancellations work.
1Services provided
GradeUp Tuition provides online tutoring services only, delivered via Microsoft Teams.
All sessions are conducted one-on-one unless otherwise agreed in writing.
2Lesson duration, frequency & scheduling
- All tutoring sessions are a minimum of one (1) hour in length.
- Students may book multiple sessions per week, subject to availability.
- Lesson dates and times will be provided in advance for each month.
- While lesson dates and times are subject to change, GradeUp Tuition will make every effort to maintain consistent scheduling that suits the student and family wherever possible.
3Payments & invoicing
- Payments are made monthly, via bank transfer.
- An invoice will be issued towards the end of each month for sessions delivered during that period.
- Payment must be made by the end of the month, stated on the invoice.
- If payment is not received by the due date, scheduled lessons will not continue until full payment has been made.
4Cancellations & missed sessions
- Sessions must be cancelled with at least 24 hours’ notice.
- Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice, or failure to attend a session, will be charged in full.
- If a student does not attend the lesson within the first 30 minutes, the session will be cancelled and charged in full.
- It is the student’s responsibility to attend sessions on time. GradeUp Tuition does not send lesson reminders.
- In the event that GradeUp Tuition must cancel a session, a reschedule will be offered.
5Online lesson responsibility
Parents/students are responsible for:
- Access to Microsoft Teams
- A stable internet connection
- A suitable learning environment
GradeUp Tuition is not responsible for missed learning time due to technical issues on the student’s end.
Parents/guardians of enrolled students have the right to:
- Request feedback on their child’s progress at reasonable intervals.
- Receive updates regarding learning goals, strengths, and areas for improvement.
- Ask questions related to lesson structure, learning strategies, or subject content.
- Request a review of tutoring arrangements if concerns arise.
6Academic integrity
Tutors provide guidance, explanation, and skill development only.
They will not complete assignments, exams, or assessments on behalf of students.
7Confidentiality & data use
- All personal and student information is kept strictly confidential.
- Information is collected solely for educational and administrative purposes.
8Outcomes
GradeUp Tuition is dedicated to supporting each student’s learning; however, academic outcomes vary and depend on student engagement, effort, and external factors outside of our control.
9. Agreement
By enrolling with GradeUp Tuition, you acknowledge and agree to these Terms & Conditions. A parent or guardian will be asked to confirm they have read and agree to them, with their full name and the date, on enrolment.
